Yesterday the Rt Revd Rick Simpson was installed as the Bishop of Durham

Having been consecrated at York Minster last month, on Sunday Bishop Rick was installed at Durham Cathedral

Highlights of the service included Rick making his oaths on the 7th-century Durham Gospels, being installed in his cathedra (his seat in the cathedral) and preaching his first sermon as Bishop of Durham

Rick is now the Bishop of Durham!

Congratulations, Bishop Rick, and we look forward to you joining us often at the Cathedral in the years to come! 🙌
