Harvest Thank-Yous

Many thanks to all those who came along to our harvest celebration yesterday and brought food to share for our harvest supper. Also thanks to all who donated food for the Tow Law food bank. This year we collected 64kg of non-perishable food which we will take up next week. And finally thanks to Linda for the lovely display of autumn flowers in the church most of which were donated by Allan Robson from his garden. Thank-you Allan.

Satley Harvest Festival Service
Sunday 11th October at 4pm, followed by a harvest supper in the hall

Come and join us to celebrate the harvest and all the food we are fortunate to enjoy. We are holding a family friendly service in church to celebrate the harvest and give thanks for our new heating system. This is followed by a harvest supper in the hall. Everyone welcome. Please bring something to share.

We will also be collecting donations of non-perishable food for Tow Law Foodbank and Community Drop In. The hall will be open from 3pm on Sunday for food bank and shared supper donations.

Congratulations to Allan and Sheila Robson on their Diamond wedding anniversary today.

Allan and Sheila were married in Castleside 24th September 1966 and moved to Glebeside Satley in 1968 where they still reside.

We send them our best wishes for this special day

Satley Children’s Nativity -
Christmas Eve 2026 5 pm in the church.

Over the past 10 years, Fern has organised a nativity play for the children of Satley.
It is a wonderful family event and highlight of the Christmas period.

Now that we have church heating, we are very grateful that Fern is organising a nativity again this year.

It will be a short play with speaking and non- speaking parts and lots of fun.
There will be two or three rehearsals, on a Sunday evening around 5pm.

If your children would like to take part, please send a message with name, age and if they would like a speaking or non-speaking part to Fern 07375 108609
