Celebrating St. Cuthbert at Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens.
Please join us at Ushaw for services in celebration of St. Cuthbert, patron saint of our Diocese and of Ushaw. There is no need to book for these services, and everyone is very welcome.

Thursday 19th March

Solemn Vespers for St Cuthbert, 6pm
Join us on the eve of the feast of St Cuthbert of Lindisfarne for a service of Vespers. Through psalms, readings, and song, we mark the close of day and begin the celebration of our patron saint with sung psalms and in prayerful stillness.

Friday 20th March

Mass for St Cuthbert’s Day, 12:30pm
Celebrate the feast of St Cuthbert with Holy Mass in the chapel dedicated to his name. A joyful and prayerful gathering to honour our patron saint, giving thanks for his northern faith, hospitality and witness.

Tuesday 24th March

Evensong in Thanksgiving for St Cuthbert, 6pm
Join us for a beautiful ecumenical service of Choral Evensong as we’re joined by the Hexham & Newcastle Diocesan Choir. Psalms, scripture and soaring choral music will accompany us as we gather at day’s end to pray, reflect, and give thanks in the peace of the chapel.
