A special youth event, "The Pulse – Your Voice Matters," will take place on Sunday, 9 March, at Hope Family Church. Young people across the Diocese can share ideas to shape future events. Highlights include free pancakes from Crepe Expectations and the TEN10 youth bus.

Wonderful day walking the Pilgrim Way onto Holy Island with church youth groups from across Durham Diocese on Saturday. Despite the grey skies and light rain, all the young remained cheerful and positive, enjoying the opportunity to connect with each other, with the beautiful surroundings and with God as we walked, talked, prayed and sang! Well done to all the young people and everyone who made this such a special day!
This will be the 20th and last Pulse youth event that I will lead as I'll be retiring in a few weeks. It's been an absolute joy to be part of this for the last 8 years! Thank you to everyone who has supported these events as a young person or leader.

Get excited for the youth pilgimage to Holy Island in July! We've booked 2 coaches which will do a limited number of pick ups across the diocese. I will need to know which churches are interested and rough numbers asap!

Great night at Durham Cathedral on Sunday for The Pulse youth event as young people gathered from across the diocese. Good time had by all (especially Bishop Sarah!) in the silent disco! Proud of this year's Growing Young Leaders who formed the band, designed and ran the prayer activities and generally supported the event. Andy Hood from Cranmer Hall gave a really powerful talk, and Bishop Sarah finished the evening beautifully with an encouragement to everyone and a final blessing. Thankyou to everyone who made it such an unforgettable night!
The next Pulse event is the pilgimage to Holy Island on Saturday 13th July. Save the date!

Great night last night at Durham Cathedral with over 100 young people from across Durham Diocese for our termly youth event. Wonderful to hear Bishop Paul talk about his decision to follow Jesus as a teenager, and how God has never let him down. Very sadly this will be his final time at the Pulse before his retirement next year. Groups from 20 different churches took part in the World's largest escape room and the band from All Saints Preston-on-Tees were amazing!
Next Pulse is Sunday 17th March.
