MAP's aim is to work with the local church to inspire, mobilise and equip people for mission. MAP is a resource for the church to use – we are the “one-stop shop to Mission” based here in NI. We are a gateway to mission organisations and we can point people to the right agency – or agencies – who can best be of service to them or, indeed, who they can be of help to. Ultimately we want to make it e

asy for people to find out more about their part to play in God’s mission, locally and overseas – whatever age and stage they are in life and our aim is that, by partnering together, with each other and with the local church, we can help advance the Gospel and inspire, mobilise and equip people – young and old – for mission.

Amongst the new publications from Langham Publishing is "Exile and Empire: Faithful Living in the Economic System" by Peter McDowell. This book takes a close look into the relationship between gospel and culture to critically examine Western Christianity’s relationship to the global economic system — a contemporary form of empire with profound influence on people’s lives. It's a thought-provoking read and an especially helpful one for theologians, pastors, and leaders.

Peter McDowell has formerly worked with the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, serving in Nepal and Cork, with the Irish Council of Churches and Belfast School of Theology.
