On the 6th March 1976- 50 years tomorrow- Ballybeen City Mission Hall was opened by a young missionary named Ernie Shooter. The hall was founded on a vision for youth work, and our GB company opened the following year in 1977. Throughout the years there has been hundreds of girls who have passed through the company hearing the gospel from many faithful GB officers and with the leadership, support and guidance of the missionary. We were blessed to have had dozens of wonderful joint camps with our BB Company- anyone who attended these camps has many happy memories! We are so thankful for 50 years of Ballybeen City Mission, for our GB company that continues with our wonderful girls, and the leadership of our past Captains Betty and Joyce and our current Captain Sharon.
