It's time to announce that the Dunkeld Youth Service is stepping aside to make room for a brand new and exciting initiative for the diocese - the Dunkeld Youth Association! A forum for young people to lead their peers and steer youth ministry in the diocese, "fostering personal and spiritual growth, and encouraging youth to actively contribute to the Church and community".

Kicking off in style, the DYA invites all young adults to join them for Mass and a Quiz Night with Bishop Andrew - see the image and event post for more details! Hope to see you there!

The Pope of surprises had published a new letter today … on the value of reading - especially novels and poetry.

“What I would like to address here is the value of reading novels and poems as part of one’s path to personal maturity.”

Some really good insights and encouragement here for all of us.

“In moments of weariness, anger, disappointment or failure, when prayer itself does not help us find inner serenity, a good book can help us weather the storm until we find peace of mind. Time spent reading may well open up new interior spaces that help us to avoid becoming trapped by a few obsessive thoughts that can stand in the way of our personal growth.”
