It’s Week 11 . It seems just yesterday that we started the course, we have had an insight into our Christian personal history and struggles with Christian faith.
We have had the intervention of Jesus in our hearts. During our course there have been cures of the heart and soul.
Our last breaking of bread together is both with joy and a little sadness that we will miss our Friday nights together sharing comfort and strength in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hi everyone I have been a parishioner at St Columbas for 55 years. Many of you may know me as the head nurse at Lourdes for many years.

I usually raise money for Lourdes to send people to the shrine and raise money for the Parish. I also run the current Alpha group.
I am doing the kilt walk to raise money for Eagles Wings , it is a Christian charity and I work 2 days a week in the soup kitchen and drive the mobile kitchen around Dundee.
Many of the people who are homeless originally come from the Kirkton, Ardler and lochee areas and have fell on hard times. Eagles wings helps them get the benefits they are entitled to as well as giving them a hot meal . If you can give a small amount I would appreciate it and you can be assured that the money will get used wisely.

Week 9 of our Alpha course, we are looking for an early start.

Our Alpha Course weekend retreat was a tremendous day of faith sharing and growth in our Christian understanding. We had members that have shared their faith experience and at times doubts. What we all agreed with was the power of the Holy Spirit. It was interesting how people interpret and visualise the Holy Spirit, it was also interesting how in retrospect we recognise the Holy Spirit has been been with us when we thought we were on our own.
A true reflection of how the Alpha Course is inspiring our group to re examine our Christian life walking with Jesus.
