Maxwest - Maxwelltown West Church of Scotland, Dumfries

There is a bear festival in Upper Annandale parish church on the 18th/19th April .

The bears are depicting approx 16 bible stories and we thought it might be a good idea to offer the exhibition to other churches to help their fundraising activities.

We also have teas, coffees & home baking, and children's crafts and activities - something to suit everyone

There will be members of our fundraising team at the event who will be available to discuss practicalities if other churches are interested .

We will be posting pictures on our page and if churches are interested but can't attend we will be happy to chat to them about it.

The Service of Introduction and Union for Maxwelltown West and New Abbey Church of Scotland will be held on Tuesday 5th May 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at a venue still to be decided - either Maxwelltown West Church or New Abbey Church.
