Acclaimed Dumfries based Hungarian sculptress, Ildiko Malovecz , will be running a free workshop on 18th June from 11am til 4 pm in the Church Hall at St Michaels & South Church .
She will be leading the creation of flags based on the depictions of the Archangel Michael which can be found all around Dumfries .
The patron saint of Dumfries will then journey through the town on Saturday as part of the Parade . ( weather permitting)
You all are warmly invited to both the creative workshop and the parade to es**rt the statue - with or without flags. 😇🙏🌞

⛪ It's just one week to go until the Kirkin' of the Cornet at St Michael's and South.

The service takes place on Sunday 14 June at 11.15 am and everyone is warmly invited to attend.

As well as being an important part of Dumfries' civic and cultural life, it is a chance to gather together in one of the town's most historic buildings and share in a special occasion.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the striking sculpture of St Michael battling the dragon which is currently on display in the church.

After the service, please stay and join us for refreshments and conversation.

Whether you are a regular member of the congregation or have never visited before, we would be delighted to welcome you.

On Sunday 14 June, St Michael's and South Church will host the annual Kirkin' of the Cornet service, beginning at 11.15 am.

This is always a special occasion in the life of the church and the town, and we look forward to welcoming members of the community to join us.

The service will be followed by refreshments, giving everyone an opportunity to meet and chat together.
