COFFEE MORNING - SATURDAY 21 FEBRUARY 10.30am-12Noon

For many years, young people (and the not so young!) have been raising funds for Junior Mission for All, often through sponsored activities or collecting loose change throughout the year. Sunday School members can learn about mission work happening in another part of the world, and hear how their offering is put to good use. Last year we changed the way we raise these funds, to a coffee morning open to all. Please feel welcome to join us for this year's coffee morning, on Saturday 21 February from 10.30am until Noon, in Dromore Methodist Church Hall on Maypole Hill. All donations, of whatever amount, will be greatly appreciated!

We are beyond devastated to need to be sharing details of the Service of Celebration for the life of Timothy Harte. Timothy was a committed member of our church family, who loved to play the box drum, run the video cameras and be involved in drama. He especially appreciated the love and wisdom of his Sunday School teachers, and amused us all by frequently attending worship in his slippers! Timothy loved Jesus, his family and his church community, and we will miss him terribly.

Following a private family committal, the service will take place in Dromore Methodist Church, Maypole Hill, at 1.30pm on Saturday 3rd January 2026. We want as many people as possible to be able to attend so will have live links in our halls and outside. The service will also be streamed on our page and youtube channel. Parking will NOT be available in our car park, but Dromore Baptist Church (also on Maypole Hill) and Dromore Cathedral (Cathedral Hall, Church Street) have kindly made their parking available - both are a short walk away.

The church will be open tomorrow (Sunday 14 December) as an Advent Prayer Space from 5pm - come and go as you are able, and stay for some singing and prayer together at 6pm (or go to Community Carols at the Cathedral). Use the time to simply be still, to ask for God's help, or to intercede for others.

Advent and Christmas offer us opportunities for reflection and celebration, time to step out of the rush, noise, shopping and wrapping, to enjoy company with friends, draw closer to God, and share good news. We meet every Sunday at 11am, and we'd love to welcome you to our 'normal' services as well as these special occasions:

Nativity Panto - a service for all ages, with fun and the story of Jesus' birth retold by - this Sunday, 7 December, at 11am.

Advent Prayer Space - the church sanctuary will be open, warm and decorated, with gentle Christmas music playing and some aids around the space to help you be still and reconnect with God. Come any time from 5pm on Sunday 14th. We'll gather folks together at 6pm to sing and pray for a while before heading home.

Carol Service - a service of bible readings and carols pointing us towards Jesus, the light of the world - Sunday 21st at 11am.

Christmas Worship - a shorter, joyful service on Christmas morning at 10am, when we will be joined by our friends from First Presbyterian Church, Dromore. Bring a gift you'd like to show to everyone as we say 'thank you Jesus' for coming into the middle of us!

Covenant Service - this solemn act of rededicating our lives to Jesus has taken place in Methodist churches around the globe for over 250 years. It is full of meaning and concludes with receiving holy communion together.

If you haven't made it to church in a while, or perhaps forever, this is a great time of the year to explore Jesus and the Christian faith, and to experience what it's like to be part of a church family. There is space for you here and with all the congregations in Dromore and the surrounding area :)

We were pleased to be able to support Via Wings' Harvest Appeal again this year. Please visit their page to see how you can contribute to their Christmas requests!

Thank You for Supporting Our Harvest Appeal!

Our hearts are full. The generosity shown by our community during this year’s 'Harvest Appeal' has been truly overwhelming. From schools, churches and community groups to individuals and families — every single donation has helped stock our Social Supermarket and support local people during a time of real need.

To each group and individual who contributed — thank you. Your kindness has made a real difference in the lives of others.

We also want to say a gentle apology if we accidentally missed mentioning anyone by name. Please know — even if your group wasn’t listed, your generosity has not gone unnoticed.

Together, you have helped us bring hope, dignity and care to our community.

From all of us at Via Wings — thank you for helping us continue to do what we do best: serve with love, compassion and kindness - meeting needs and changing lives 💙🦅
