All are welcome to a Prayer Evening run by Worcester Deanery at St Martin's Church, Holt. WR6 6NJ (what3words///spelled.joggers.resettle)

Change touches all our lives, our churches, our communities. Some change involves loss; some creates burdens; some opens new possibilities. This evening provides space to bring all of that into prayer.

Following a short introduction and worship, participants are then free to explore six prayer points around St Martin's Church.

EXCITING FOODBANK OPPORTUNITY

Could you volunteer a few hours a week to help your local community? We are looking for new volunteers to join our friendly foodbank team to process and distribute food parcels.

Volunteer sessions days / times are:
● Tuesday (12pm - 3:30pm)
● Friday (1pm - 4:30pm)

You will be working as part of a team to help local people facing hardship to access help with dignity and compassion.

Key tasks are:
● Welcoming clients
● Lifting and packing food parcels which can weigh upto 13kg
● General admin tasks
● Listening to clients
● Advising clients of additional organisations offering assistance

In return we can offer:
● Training and ongoing support
● Weekly or fortnightly volunteering, with flexibility
● Being part of a friendly and supportive team
● Opportunity to learn new skills and grow in confidence

With the school summer break coming soon we know this can be a difficult time with keeping the kids busy and finding money for additional food so we wanted to highlight the HAF Worcestershire (Holiday Activities and Food) program.

If your child gets benefits-related Free School Meals and are aged between 5-16, they are eligible for HAF program and can attend up to 16 free activity sessions 🏃during the summer holidays.
