This morning our Songsters sang the beautiful song He Will Hold Me Fast arranged by Andrew Wicker.
The song reminds us that whatever we face in life, God is always there with us and holding onto us.
Many were blessed by our singing this morning; we pray this brings you a blessing as you listen.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. To all our amazing volunteers. We really could not do it without you. To the 'washer uppers', the bakers & cooks. The 'setter uppers' & 'tidy uppers'.The 'meet & greeters' and pretty much 'anything elsers'! On this the annual Volunteers Week, we celebrate YOU with heart felt gratitude.

On Sunday 14th May our Senior Band had the privilege of being the first “Band in the Lido Park”, a feature which sees a different band from around the Midlands playing each Sunday afternoon in Droitwich until 20th September.

Despite the showery weather, a good crowd surrounded the bandstand to listen and show their appreciation for the music.

Led by Louise Fisher and Charlie Green the band offered a varied programme of Salvation Army music and explanations about the pieces were given to enlighten the audience. The concert began with Andrew Mackereth’s arrangement of Ein’ Feste Burg.
Other first-half music included Soli Deo Gloria (Himes), Round Up (Cordner) and In His light (N. Silfverberg).
Offering an alternative to the brass music, vocalist Maisie Forrester gave a fabulous rendition of the song Watch What Happens from the Musical Newsies.
To end the first-half, the band played Barrie Gott’s arrangement of Daniel which featured a super solo by Joel Park on drums (see video).
After spending time talking with members of the faithful crowd during the interval, the Band began the second half of the programme with Marcus Venables’ “Hearts Ablaze”.
Other music included “Redeeming Love” (Goffin), “Whisper a prayer in the morning” (Blyth) and “What a friend” (Clarke).
Maisie returned with another vocal solo “Part of your world” from The Little Mermaid before the Band rounded off the afternoon with the March “Land of Song (Bearcroft).
It was a wonderful afternoon of music making and more importantly spreading the Gospel in the unique way that only a Salvation Army Band can do. This was further bolstered by Carolyn who had designed booklets to hand out to listeners which explained the purpose of the band and about some of the music that was played.
We look forward to continuing our ministry in this way for years to come.

It was lovely to welcome our friend Mandy to Friendship Group this morning. Bringing some lovely floral arrangements and giving a short demonstration. Great to support a new local business. She even got onto the dance floor for today's impromptu disco!

Today in 'Sunday Live' (Sunday School) our children learnt about Jesus cooking breakfast on the beach for his friends. Now we couldn't make it to the beach but we did share breakfast! First though, the children made their 'Ultimate Breakfast' collage.

What is YOUR Ultimate Breakfast?

Who do you think had Squirty cream with their sausage?

Who would have kebab meat and garlic sauce for their Ultimate breakfast?

(Put your answers in the comments)

Today has been an 'Auntie Maggie' day at our Friendship Group. What is that you may ask. Well, it's a special day, once a month when anything can happen...and frequently does!
Today saw 59 people sharing in laughter and fun together, with a 'colours' theme. We had armchair excersies with coloured ribbons, colour themed fishing net & ball catching and of course our very own multi coloured coat! Amidst all the fun we were reminded of God's love through a rainbow and the promise of His presence through the grey days and the colourful ones.
If you want to come.along and join in the fun for yourself, contact Carolyn at our church office on 01905 794179
