And Miles to Go Before I Sleep…

So ends the poem by Robert Frost. And so has been our journey, as a Rural Chaplaincy team, alongside our farm support organisation friends, over the past 2 weeks, in the Mission: Farm Strong event. 💪

Thanks to Harry Burke for sending me the photo - some folks obviously snapped us on our travels in Co Tyrone last week. 📸

The trusty New Holland T7.210, from
Burkes of Cornascriebe LTD, with the Fleming Agri Products Ltd linkbox carrying our events board on the back, hasn’t let us down, covering many miles with us. 👍

Today we reach the end of the road, as we all visit Markethill Livestock & Farm Sales. 🐮

Now we all know what it’s like to feel that we have “miles to go before I sleep”. Miles and miles to travel. Or miles and miles of work to do. 💤

What is the work that, for you, never seems to end? Household chores… busy family life… the endless round of Winter redding up on the farm… 🚜

Or perhaps the “miles” that you travel, is the bumpy journey in your troubled mind? Facing mile upon mile of worry. ☹️

What do you think of, when you hear Robert Frost’s refrain:
“And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.” 😴

Whatever miles and miles of hard work, humdrum routine, or endless challenges you travel through, God promises His followers that He will be with us. One of God’s followers said of Him: ✅

“Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!” (Psalm 139:7-8)❓

Or, as Jesus comforted His followers, “And behold, I am with you always…” (Matthew 28:20) ✝️

However long, or difficult, the miles that Jesus’ followers travel are, Jesus promises that He will ALWAYS be with us - He won’t let us down. 💯

Do you have this assurance? You can, if you will look to Jesus, and trust your life to Him. Jesus is the Pillow that brings us real peace, steely strength, and forever hope, on every step of life’s journey. ✅

God bless 🙂

The transforming power of a relationship with Jesus. 👍 Leandro de Souza was once known across Brazil as “the most tattooed man in the country,” with nearly 95% of his body covered in ink. His appearance told a story of pain, identity, and searching.

But then he encountered Jesus Christ - and everything changed.

Leandro didn’t just experience a moment of belief; he experienced a complete transformation of the heart. As his faith grew, so did his desire for his outward life to reflect the inward renewal God had begun. Today, he is courageously undergoing long, painful laser treatments - not out of shame, but as a testimony that his old life no longer defines him.

His journey is living proof that when the power of God works within us, no past is too broken, no life too marked, and no heart beyond redemption.

Nothing is impossible with our Lord.
When Jesus makes you new, He makes you truly new.

📖 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
