Wrapped up the 82 mile pilgrimage yesterday. I appreciate the kind replies and DMs from the FB world this week. It was encouraging to interact especially being solo on the road for a week!

Today I get to be a tourist! Seeing a couple of Cathedrals, the burial place of Saint Patrick, the first Christian church in Ireland (from the 1100’s!), the ruins of an ancient abbey.

Then I’m heading back to Belfast later today (via Bus, not walking!).

Wowza. Rain, hail, wind and over 16 miles to finish it out today!

The 7+ miles today gave me beaches and dunes and churches and a castle from the 1100’s to explore.

This puts the pilgrimage so are at just over 70 miles, with one hike left!

Today I learned a lot about Irish history including their Civil War in the 1920s, and how remnants of that live on today in many Irish people.

And I’m off! Day 6 on the Way of Saint Patrick!

My blog post from the inspiration on my 15 mile part of The Way of Saint Patrick today. Hopefully it reached someone that needs to hear it today.

Today, I find myself reflecting on Saint Patrick and the incredible fact that I serve the same God he served. In my darkest moments, I've called out to the same God he cried out to during his captivity and enslavement in pagan Ireland. I serve the same God that guided him when he answered God's call...

Well that was a day! Some difficult terrain today.
Rivers, mountains, forests, and FINALLY, the Sea!

Was NOT supposed to be 15+ miles, but once again I took a wrong turn or two.

My blog post today from the halfway point along the Way of Saint Patrick.

Four days into the 82-mile hiking pilgrimage known as "The Way of Saint Patrick," honoring the missionary work of the patron saint of Ireland, I found myself in reflection. As I trekked through the stunning landscapes, my sore feet and aching legs reminded me of the hardships of this journey. Howeve...
