With thanks to all who gathered to share and to give at our Harvest Service today. There are calls to answer, and songs yet to sing. Nourished, we step forward with thanks and with purpose.

We are always too busy, yet we need to take time aside to recharge, to nourish and to build our spiritual life. Our Service today considered: how we might bring stillness to our lives; how we might bring beauty into our being; how we might use art, and the idea of art, to bring Creation forth. With help from Angela Herrera and Auguste Rodin, this is a recording of our words today.

Our first Service in April, on the day often referred to as Low Sunday, reflected on the new beginnings Easter presents, but seen through the eyes of Mary, as imagined by Colm Tóibín in his book 'The Testament of Mary'. With support from the words of David Blanchard and Tom Owen-Towle. Our reflection is on the blog:

Our Service this Sunday, often known as Low Sunday, reflected on the story of Mary, mother of Jesus - following Colm Tóibín's fictional yet compelling account in his book, 'The Testament of Mary'.Although last week was Easter and we didn’t meet together, I have little doubt that all noticed East...

Our Service in January focused on the need for each of us to recognise the beauty in the world around us, and also in the people we meet and see each day.

“A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. T...

On a day when we remember the Gunpowder Plot - a vicious and terrifying story of religious hatred, persecution and violence (on all sides), we reflect on the continuing violence across the world, in particular in Israel and Palestine at this time, and the actions we might take to bring love and compassion to the world. The words to the address, and a link to a SoundCloud recording are on the link.

As we enter the autumn season, we are at a time of Harvest and thanksgiving. At this time we explore our connections to the world, to nature and to one another. We reflect on the fragile wonder that keeps us alive, and the awesome power of all that grows around us. Drawing on the Hebrew Bible story of Jacob’s Dream, we reflected on Harvest. The words are on the new Blog, and there is a SoundCloud recording available too.
