We have reached the end of our Joy and happiness event, but that does not mean that we should stop noticing, sharing and growing Joy. Let’s take a moment to reflect on how we have taken, and can continue to take, Joy into the world together.

✨ JOY GROWS HERE ✨

Week 8: Carry Joy Into the World

Over the past two months, we have journeyed together through:

* gratitude,
* community,
* creation,
* difficulty,
* kindness,
* worship,
* and hope.

We’ve shared prayers, stories, encouragement, and moments of joy — both big and small.

And perhaps we’ve discovered this:

Joy is not something we keep for ourselves.

It is something we carry:
into our homes,
our workplaces,
our friendships,
our communities,
and into the lives of those who need hope most.

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” — John 15:11

As this journey comes to an end, may joy continue to grow:

* in the ordinary,
* in difficult seasons,
* in worship,
* in kindness,
* and in the ways we love one another.

👇 Before we finish this series:
Share one thing you are taking with you from this journey of joy.

This week’s prayer:

God of joy,
thank You for walking with us through every season.
Help us continue to notice goodness, share kindness, and carry hope into the world around us.
May Your joy remain in us and shine through us each day.
Amen.

✨ Final practice:
This week, intentionally bring joy to someone else:

* encourage someone,
* reconnect with a friend,
* pray for someone,
* share gratitude,
* or simply be present.

Joy grows when it is given away.

Thank you for being part of Joy Grows Here. 💛

Week 7: Joy That Overflows

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been exploring how joy can be found in:

💛 small moments
🤝 community
🌿 creation
💪 difficult times
💝 kindness
🙏 worship

As we’ve reflected together, something beautiful often happens…

The more we notice God’s goodness, the more Joy begins to grow. We start to recognise His presence in everyday moments, and His joy and peace begin to overflow into our lives—and into the lives of those around us.

“May God, the source of hope, fill you with all Joy and peace by means of your faith in him.” — Romans 15:13

This week, why not pause for a few moments and look back:

✨ Where have you experienced unexpected joy recently?
✨ What has encouraged you?
✨ What are you thankful for today?

👇 We’d love to hear from you.
Share a moment of hope, peace, laughter, answered prayer, or encouragement from recent weeks. Your story might be just what someone else needs today.

This week’s prayer

God of hope,
thank You for filling our hearts with joy and peace. Help us to notice Your goodness each day and to share the hope You’ve given us with others. May our words, actions, and presence reflect Your love this week. Amen.

✨ This week’s practice:
Write down three moments of joy from the past month—even the small ones—and thank God for each of them.

All sorts of lost things that would love to be reclaimed. Please private message or contact the church office to arrange collection.

Week 6: Joy in Worship

There are moments when music, prayer, and worship lift our hearts in ways words cannot fully explain.

A song that carries you through a difficult season.
A quiet moment in prayer.
Voices singing together.
Peace arriving unexpectedly.

Worship reminds us that joy is not something we create alone — it is something we receive in God’s presence.

“Sing to the Lord with joyful songs.” — Psalm 98:4

This week, make space to pause and worship:

* in church,
* at home,
* in the car,
* on a walk,
* or in quiet stillness.

👇 Share in the comments:

* a worship song that brings you peace,
* a hymn you love,
* or a piece of music that helps you feel close to God.

This week’s prayer:

God of joy,
meet me in worship and stillness.
Lift my heart when I feel weary,
and remind me of Your goodness and presence.
Fill me again with hope, peace, and joy.
Amen.

✨ This week’s practice:
Take 10 minutes this week to sit quietly with a worship song.
No distractions.
Just listen, breathe, and pray.

If you would like to join us in worship then please come down on Sunday
