Sending Christmas love and greetings to our Goodwyns community and beyond as we approach this special time of year.

We are here to share with you in the joy of the season but also to offer any support we can at this time which can also be difficult for some;- those who may be alone, those missing departed loved ones or battling with other issues and also those struggling with the huge financial demands this time can bring.

We will be having a joyous Christmas celebration (sorry neighbours, the music might get a bit loud!) on Sunday Dec 21st at 11am with lots of fun but also some serious food for the soul, which all are welcome to join us in - we think you'd enjoy it! (very informal, relaxed & welcoming!).

Also, we are hosting a very special full blown (& free!) 2pm Christmas Day Dinner at the church which we really want people who might be alone to join us for, but also any families or any other individuals who might benefit from this.

NB thiugh - If you'd like to attend the Christmas dinner, please do let us know on here or pm us via messenger to help us plan catering arrangements.

Happy Christmas to all & love to our beautiful community!

God bless,
Nelson.

Just a note to say:

These past few weeks in church have been so amazing. God's presence and times of worshipping Him have definitely been the highlight of our weeks!

Great speakers, wonderful music, wonderful times of prayer, and people getting healed, inside and out. πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Great lunches afterwards, with everyone mucking in. πŸ°πŸŽŠπŸ˜‹

And everyone is welcome. β™₯️

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5 v 8

Amidst all the human reflections on loving relationships today, (& great to celebrate that!), I've been thinking afresh on this day of the amazing words from John 3:16.......

For God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

"What kind of love is this,
that gave itself for me?
I am the guilty one, yet I go free.
What kind of love is this?
A love I’ve never known.
I didn’t even know his name, what kind of love is this?

What kind of man is this,
that died in agony?
He who had done no wrong was crucified for me.
What kind of man is this,
who laid aside his throne
that I may know the love of God? What kind of man is this?

By grace I have been saved; it is the gift of God.
He destined me to be his son, such is his love.
No eye has ever seen,
no ear has ever heard,
nor has the heart of man conceived; what kind of love is this?"

Happy Christmas to all our friends and neighbours! Hope all have a peaceful and joyful time over the holiday and in the New Year.

We are holding a Christmas Eve service at 11o'clock this Sunday morning. There will be a short nativity play, by Geoff and Co from Open the Book, and some Christian Christmas worship. After the service there will be plenty of tasty nibbles and refreshments. All are welcome.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS! Especially if you are on your own this Christmas Eve, come and have some Christmas cheer!
Everyone is welcome
