The Benefice of the Piddle Valley, Hilton, Cheselbourne and Melcombe Horsey is a collection of six parishes lying in two valleys to the north of Dorchester. The western of those two valleys is the Piddle Valley comprises three parishes: Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide and Piddlehinton together with the hamlets of Plush and Whitelackington. The other three parishes lie in the Chesel valley and incl
