A joy to welcome St Oswald’s C of E Academy in to church this morning.

Each classroom, the hall, the offices and the staff room have a cross displayed, each September they are prayed over and redistributed to be displayed again.

Rev Neil shared a short talk on the current theme of the Good Samaritan, the children beautifully sang three songs, shared a different way to think about the Good Samaritan and read some prayers they’d written. They were a credit to the school and their parents/carers!

All set for our monthly cafe church, Cafe 3:30. Set out cafe style, with delicious cakes as you arrive with activities on the table to get started on while everyone arrives. We have a Bible story, a short talk, two crafts, interactive prayer activity, sensory area and two upbeat songs played on the keyboard by Rev Neil (think My Lighthouse!). It’s relaxed, informal and lasts up to an hour.

We are continuing our theme of Bible Superheroes looking at Rahab today.
