Doncaster Schools Worker Trust We are a non-denominational Christian charity.

We want to invite children and young people to explore in the classroom what Christians really believe, and think who the Bible says Jesus is.

A throwback to March, when we helped run a church visit from a local primary school.

From communion to baptism, Bible stories to prayer, we had different stations for year 3 to explore what church is and what Christians believe.

These pictures are from the prayer station. They wrote and drew pictures of people they wanted to pray for, near and far away!

Who do you want to pray for today?

When we ran Easter in a Box last term, our cars were always packed full of boxes and props!

What a joy it was sharing Easter in a Box with over 20 schools. The Year 4s asked great questions about 'why did Jesus die on a cross?' and 'what was it like to wear the crown of thorns?'

Please pray the children will remember what they have heard.

Linda has been running some lessons recently on Shabbat and Passover in primary schools. Both of these stories are also written in the Bible!

The Kiddish cup is used by Jewish families to help celebrate Shabbat (the day of rest God gave us). Some year 3 children designed these cups at the end of the lesson. They look so special 🤩

We're sorry it's been so long since we posted an update, but it has been such a busy term!

We're thankful to God that we could go into schools and teach the Easter story to a wide range of ages. How amazing it was to make the story of Jesus's resurrection come alive!

Here are some pictures when we ran a mini Easter journey for KS1 classes ✝

One primary school has decided to make a display out of the sheep made during a Bible Bootcamp lesson. Doesn't it look baaarilliant? 😁

Y1 children were learning about the parable of the lost sheep and how Jesus knows all his sheep (us his people) and how much he knows and cares about each one.

Do ewe think Jesus is like this?

A throwback to the end of 2025 when we ran a new lesson about symbolism in Christianity. Y6 children had to crack the clues and figure out where Jesus's disciple Peter was hiding.

We looked at the cross representing Jesus dying and rising from the dead for his people, as well as the icharys fish and why communion is such an important symbol.

Can anyone guess what the drawing on the communion cup is? 😀

A rare picture of all our school workers together! From left to right is Dan (secondary schools worker), Ellie, Linda and Helen (primary schools workers).

Please be praying for the team to teach clearly and wisely about Christianity as we continue into 2026, and beyond!

It's been a while we posted on here...but it doesn't mean we haven't been doing anything!

It was a wonderful sharing the Christmas story and how Jesus came into the world. Here is a picture of Linda getting ready for a Christmas in a Box lesson at a Doncaster primary school!

Yesterday, the primary school workers really enjoyed hosting a Childrens Leaders Lunch to talk about how we can help churches run school visits.

It was very encouraging to see leaders from 10 churches across Doncaster, united by a faith in Jesus, come to think and pray together about this.

What do you think makes a good church visit?

As we've run new assemblies (such as Harvest celebration) and lessons (such as Jesus Out of the Box and Bible Bootcamp), Linda has found it really encouraging how these have been received by schools.
