Faith, Friendship and Pilgrimage by Rail 🚆🤝🙏

Ten young adults from across Britain returned last month from an unforgettable rail pilgrimage to Italy. Travelling from London into Paris and then on to Milan, Bologna and Rome, the group explored stunning art, architecture and ate plenty of gelato! But at the heart of the journey was sharing in the mission and experiencing the ministry of OPCEMI, the Methodist Church in Britain's partner church in Italy.

"The pilgrims’ relationship with God, and with each other, was deepened and we pray it will reach fresh depths as they continue to reflect on their encounters in Italy." - Revd Rachel Parkinson (one of the pilgrimage leaders).

Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, in your mercy and grace you surprisingly said to us, “You are the light of the world.” May it be so in this our time.

Spirit of light and love, kindle in us fresh urgency to love and serve the human family, to be amazed by creation and to care for it well, to pursue justice and offer mercy, to rejoice in receiving and sharing grace.
