We give thanks for the fathers in our church family, for the guidance and encouragement they bring and the love they show.

Pray with us this Father's Day, with a prayer shared by Matthew Forsyth, Vice-President of the Methodist Conference 🙏

Loving God,
On this Father’s Day, we give thanks for all who have shown us care, guidance, encouragement and love.
We thank you for fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, and for all who have offered fatherly care in different ways.
We pray for those for whom today is joyful, and for those for whom today is painful, complicated, or marked by absence and loss.
Surround each of us with your love this day.
In the name of Jesus Christ,

Join us in prayer a Pride Month, shared by Pam Gold, Coordinator of the Solidarity Circle for LGBT+

Loving God we thank you for the richness of Diversity which you have created.
As we go through the month of June, when the LGBTQ+ community celebrate Pride, we ask of you:
Teach us the real meaning of 'All are welcome' where all are fully and richly included in every aspect of our Christian Lives.
Reach out to those who do not know you yet but are seeking.
Work on the hearts of those who cannot accept us, that they may have a change of heart and mandate a willingness to be inclusive.
We thank you God for the love you give and we trust that even now hearts are being touched by the power of your Holy Spirit.

Our Easter morning service is full of flowers, with a beautiful display by our flower team, chicks, lambs and spring bulbs on the window sills, and of course our transformed cross, adorned with blooms and displayed outside for all to see.

See, what a mornin', gloriously bright
With the dawnin' of hope in Jerusalem
Folded the grave clothes, tomb filled with light
As the Angels announce, "Christ is risen"

Christ our Lord is risen today. Alleluia!
Our Lenten cross is transformed with flowers and placed outside our Church as a symbol of hope and love and grace
