Fishlake Church, St. Cuthberts is now open every day once more from 09:00am until dusk. Saturday coffee mornings have also recommenced and start at 10:00am and finish (when all the toast, goodies, treats and cakes have disappeared...) somewhere around 11:30am. All are welcome to drop in and join this popular facility. 2021 - At last!! Fishlake St. Cuthbert commences Sunday AM services on April 4th at 09:30am. and the Chancel will remain open after the service for private prayer and quiet reflection until 2:00pm

One bright note for Fishlake St Cuthbert is that Historic England's Heritage at Risk Fund has made a grant of £18,180.00 along with the Pilgrim Trust making a grant of £8,000.00, which together will allow the development of an important project to establish a viable conservation and preservation strategy for the historic Romanesque Doorway at Fishlake. One of the finest such doorways in the UK, the core objective is to ensure this superb 12thC architecture and others like it are conserved and preserved for future generations.

Sunday 24th May
With the restrictions of the lockdown beginning to relax a little,
and our gaining some freedoms, we all need to pray that a second wave of the Covid19 virus does not catch us unawares, and undo all the good work that has been done. Prayer can help us to be wise and careful, and our God, the God of love who knows all our needs always hears us; as someone once said: “God has a great memory and
He never forgets”.

Our heavenly Father who always hears us,
we ask that you will grant us great wisdom as we begin to enjoy some freedoms.
Help us to be kind and considerate to others,
especially to those who have lost loved ones and family members.
We ask you to comfort those whose mental health has suffered in isolation,
who may find it difficult to once more join in communal activities.
And Father we ask that they may recover and enjoy a sense of your love and blessing.
We freshly commit our lives into your hands.
In Jesus Name
