Back home after a wonderful parish pilgrimage to Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (Anglican).

O Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray that God may give us the grace to do at home what you have taught us to do at England’s Nazareth.

Excellent advice from our friends at St Matthew's Church, Sheffield

Our Sunday Mass is at 9.15am. Join us as we continue to celebrate the Resurrection.

Did you decide to become a Christian at Easter or are thinking more deeply about it?

Here's some suggestions of what to do next:

1. Read one of the four Gospels. These are the eyewitness accounts in the New Testament of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mark's Gospel is the shortest and can be read in one go.

2. Pray. Prayer is talking to God. It doesn't have to be eloquent - in fact simple is better! One simple prayer is "Jesus I trust in you"

3. Attend Mass regularly. Being around other Christians and hearing the Bible read out and taught is one of the main ways we deepen our faith. Our Sunday Masses are at 11:00am and 6:00pm.

4. Talk to a Priest. He will help you with you next step which might be Baptism, when water is poured over your head in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit which marks your new birth and entry into the Church. If you've already been baptised, maybe as a baby, you could start preparing for Confirmation where the Bishop prays for you and lays hands on you to give you strength to walk in the path of Jesus Christ. Our Confirmation service will happen in the Autumn.
