GIVING MONTH – THE CHURCH PLATE & COLLECTION BAGS 🙏❤️

During Giving Month, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who gives faithfully to support our churches.

Each Sunday at Mass, our collection plate and collection bags provide an opportunity for us all to contribute to the life and mission of the Church. Every gift, whatever the size, helps us to continue our worship, ministry, outreach and care for our communities.

Please prayerfully consider giving when the collection is taken. No gift is too small, and together our gifts can make a big difference.
As the Bible reminds us:

Welcome to Giving Month!

This month, we are taking time to reflect on the importance of giving, generosity and supporting the life of our churches.
Our churches are more than buildings — they are places of worship, prayer, fellowship, welcome and service to our communities. Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of our congregation and supporters.

Throughout Giving Month, we will be sharing some of the different ways you can support our churches, including the Sunday collection, giving envelopes and Gift Aid, Direct Debit, card payments and one-off gifts.

There is no set amount that anyone has to give. Every gift, large or small, makes a difference. What matters is giving prayerfully and generously, according to what we are able to offer.

Tomorrow St John the Baptist Edlington is celebrating their patronage festival. We are all warmly invited!

Join us a week tomorrow as we celebrate our patronal festival!

Our guest preacher will be the Rev’d Dr Harri Williams, Principal of St Stephen's House.

Sung Mass at 12 noon will be followed by a barbecue. All parishioners, friends, and newcomers are invited and will be warmly welcomed.

The Mass at St John’s this morning is offered for the peaceful repose and in loving memory of Fr K. E. W. Tregear, Vicar of Edlington 1967-1973 whose year’s mind occurs today.

Tonight at 6.30 Bible Study we’ll be looking at Genesis 12-50: the story of Abraham and his family. We’ll be thinking about how God fulfils the promises he makes to Abraham and to all of us through Jesus.

Everyone is welcome to join us. There’ll be the opportunity to ask questions or just sit and listen. There’ll also be tea, coffee and delicious home baking 😋
