Diss Salvation Army Church

Diss Salvation Army Church A Church where everyone is welcome with outreach to the local community Our Sunday Church services are informal and inclusive.

The Salvation Army is an International Christian Church working in over 120 countries worldwide. We play our part here in Diss as a place of worship providing ministry, service and activities in and for our community. We strive to reflect what it means to be followers of Jesus and how we can bring that about in the Diss community. Those within the church join together in singing a combination of m

odern and traditional songs as well as having time for prayer and sharing with others. Throughout the meeting there is a talk centered on what the Bible teaches, in order to learn and be challenged by what it means to be a follower of Jesus. After the service, tea & coffee is provided for all.

This Volunteers’ Week we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who serves The Salvation Army in their own time.

Our volunteers bring their best selves, their God-given energies and their convictions to support our vital work. They are enthusiastic, committed and eager to give their time and skills to care for some of the most marginalised and vulnerable people in our society.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We are so grateful for all that you do ❤️

[Image description: "Thank you to our volunteers." There is an image of two smiling women, one with blonde shoulder-length hair, wearing a white polo shirt with a red Salvation Army shield, the other has blue hair and wears glasses, with a green hoody. They each hold a white mug with a hot drink as they share a happy moment.]

We pray for children and young people who will sit exams over the coming weeks: that they will sense the loving, peace-bringing presence of God as they revise and as they sit in the exam hall; that they will know that their value is not dependent on results or grades; and that the process of doing these exams will help them know more clearly what they want to do with their lives in the future.
