đź“– 95 Years of the Scottish Northern Convention đź“–
This year we celebrate 95 years of the Scottish Northern Convention — a remarkable legacy of gospel witness, biblical preaching, and Christian fellowship in the north of Scotland.
The Convention began in the early 1930s, born out of a desire to see believers gathered for clear Bible teaching, united prayer, and renewed commitment to mission. What started as a simple gathering soon became an annual fixture, drawing people from across Scotland and beyond to sit under the teaching of God’s Word.
Through the decades, the Convention has witnessed changing times — from the challenges of the mid-20th century to the spiritual needs of each new generation — yet its heart has remained the same: Christ-centered preaching, worship, and encouragement for God’s people.
Many well-known Bible teachers, evangelists, and missionaries have shared in its platform, and countless lives have been shaped through faithful ministry, friendships formed under canvas, and a shared vision for the gospel.
As we mark 95 years, we give thanks for those who laid the foundations, those who have faithfully served through the years, and the generations still to come.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8
