Today we had a gathering of the Cornerstone Collective Churches staff, along with some others from churches across Merseyside, and we spent time praying for our region, singing praise to our God and hearing from Matthew 9:38. What a blessing!

This morning heard from George, who has been one of our interns this past academic year in the Collective.

He shared how it has helped develop his faith and understanding of theology and ministry, by being invested into by all the pastors of the Collective churches, as well as enabling him to serve God and His church in a practical way.

We would encourage anyone interested in finding out more about either the full year internship (starting in September, 3 days per week) in one of our churches, or stepping into a two week short term internship at Cornerstone Liverpool in July, to check out the details on the link in our bio and to get in touch with us as we’d love to explore having you on board with us!

Today had the privilege of being joined by Neil Forsythe, pastor of as he brought the next instalment in the current series the church is following on the book of John.

Neil planted Liberti Church, Lark Lane, out of Cornerstone Church Liverpool, and being part of the Collective means we get to serve, encourage and engage with each other across our churches well beyond the initial planting season.

If you’re interested in finding out more about planting or revitalising a church with us, do get in touch!

Today heard from George, Pastor at about the newly launched ‘Hope Fridge’, a food pantry, and about a warm space they are also running, both in Kensington.

George shared how the local churches of can support Hope in their provision of the Hope Fridge in particular, which is desperately needed in the current economic climate, and it is a privilege that we can all support them in a range of ways.

They’d love to have you visit them at one or both of these services, to benefit from them, or to help out in some way-please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more.

One of the reasons that Cornerstone Collective exists is to facilitate planting and revitalising churches-to see gospel centred churches all over our region. We partner with in this work, and the Lead Pastor at Cornerstone Wirral, , is also the Assessment Coordinator for Acts 29 GB & Ireland.

In the latest episode of the podcast, Josh features, discussing the Assessment process and opportunities for new church planters to join the New Church Planters Cohort in the new year.

The episode is really worth a listen…link in bio.

Last Sunday at Cornerstone Church Liverpool they were delighted to be joined by two of the key people involved in the formation of Cornerstone Collective.

Back in 2009, the Elders at Ramilies Road Chapel invited Steve Robinson to become their pastor, having recognised they were ‘burying more than they were baptising’. Following on from that appointment, the Cornerstone Collective and it’s churches have developed.

Roy Hughes was one of those Elders, but due to Covid and wider health challenges in recent times, he and his wife haven’t been able to join Cornerstone in person. It was so wonderful to have Roy and Ve join with their church family once again, and we are so grateful to them for their life time of service to the church and the gospel.

*Cornerstone Collective’s Men’s Conference*

Yesterday the men of the churches in the Collective were blessed with the opportunity to attend our Men’s Conference. Richard Coekin from Co-Mission, a church-planting movement in London, spoke on themes of being motivated for mission, being courageous for Christ and being resilient in our faith.

It was a great opportunity for learning, fellowship and prayer, and we pray that all who attended left inspired to move forward in the mission God has given each one of us.

On Sunday, Cornerstone Church Liverpool was able to witness and celebrate two young men publicly declare their faith in God by being baptised.

It was, as baptism services always are, a truly wonderful demonstration of why we do what we do-to see lives transformed and saved!

Join us at one of our churches this Sunday and find out more about being part of our family. Links to our churches in the bio.
