Happy New Year friends!
What is your focus for 2026? This past Sunday, pastor Chris shared our theme and word for the year (Rooted and Established) taken from Colossians 2:6-7.
Did you know a bamboo plant can sometimes grow 3 feet in a single day, but only after spending years building a root system underground?
Often, we want the "leap" without the "roots", but God is calling us to go deeper this year. It’s time to strengthen what we’ve been entrusted with, fan our gifts into flames, and build foundations that can weather any storm.

In the comments, let us know: What is one area you want to go deeper in this year? Let’s encourage one another as we grow together!

They had a reputation for being "alive"... but Jesus said they were "dead." On Sunday, we continued our series on the 7 Churches in Revelation, focusing on the challenging letter to Sardis.

This church looked good on the outside, but it had a problem: it lacked spiritual substance. It was a church "playing church."

What was Jesus’s urgent message to them? And what can we learn today about moving from "nominal" faith to a vibrant, authentic relationship with Him?

If you missed this message, "Letters to the 7 Church (Sardis)," you can catch up right here. Don't miss this one!

We have been following our series on the Letters to the 7 churches from the book of Revelation. On Sunday, Chris Eke shared on the letter to the church of Thyatira. This was a church Jesus commended for their good works and acts of love. Jesus however shared his concerns about how they were tolerating the teaching of a false ‘prophetess’, who was leading some of the believers astray.

What can we learn from the love of this church and the importance of doctrinal truth? If you missed this important sermon, you could catch up with it via the link -

A CHARGE FOR THE 'ARCHIPPUS' IN ALL OF US

In the final greetings of his letter to the Colossians, Paul the Apostle includes a short, direct, and powerful personal message: “And say to Archippus, ‘See that you fulfil the ministry that you have received in the Lord.’” (Colossians 4:17).

It’s a fascinating verse. It’s a public encouragement, a community-wide nudge and a personal charge. We don’t know if Archippus was discouraged, distracted, or just getting started. But we do know this: he had a ministry given to him by the Lord, and he needed to see it through.

In truth, we are all an Archippus.

Every single one of us has a "ministry that we have received in the Lord." God has deposited within you a divine potential, a sacred trust, a specific assignment. It might be teaching, serving, leading, praying, encouraging, giving, or showing acts of mercy. Whatever it is, it is your unique part of the great mission of the Church.

The challenge however is that this divine potential doesn't always blaze like intense fire. Sometimes, it may start like just sparks of fire here and there. This is why Paul’s charge to Archippus sounds so much like his words to Timothy: "fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you" (2 Timothy 1:6).

A gift that is ignored lies dormant and often becomes a tragedy of unused potential. Your purpose is not just to have this gift, but to fulfil it. This is your mission. God didn't give you that potential for it to stay buried. He gave it to you to be a vital part of His plan.

Notice the command: "See to it." This implies diligence and intentionality. We must stop looking at the ministry’s others have received and start focusing on the one we have. Here's an exhortation to hold onto: Don't compare your assignment; complete it.

Why? Because this life is not a dress rehearsal. Our eternal reward is tied to our faithfulness with what we were given. Fulfilling your ministry is ultimately about hearing those words from our Master: "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).

So, what is the ministry you have received in the Lord? Are you fanning it into flame or letting it smoulder? Hear this charge today as your own. See to it. Take hold of your purpose, steward your gift, and fulfil the ministry God has entrusted to you.

Be encouraged!

Blessings,
Chris Eke

On Sunday, it was wonderful to hear the testimony of God healing our brother from insomnia in our first service. In scripture we are reminded of the power of our testimony in Revelation 12:11, where we are told “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…”.
It is my prayer that as many as are struggling with any illness, will be encouraged to believe the Lord for healing where medication may not have worked.
On Sunday, we also continued our sermon series on the Letters to the 7 Churches, as we focused on the church of Pergamum. The church of Pergamum was said to be a faithful church, but they had a few Nicolaitans among them, whom Jesus said, He hates their deeds (Rev 2:6). Who were the Nicolaitans, and what can we learn from them?

On Sunday, we resumed our sermon series on the Letters to the 7 Churches. We looked at the church of Smyrna, the suffering church.

For many of us in the modern Western church, suffering for our faith is foreign to our experiences, but according to Open Doors, “1 in 7 Christians worldwide live in situations with at least “high” levels of persecution and discrimination”. Christian persecution is quite common in our world, and sometimes, like the Smyrnaean church, the Lord may require us to endure the experience.

In his book, Walking with God through pain and suffering, the late Tim Keller said, “Suffering can refine us rather than destroy us because God himself walks with us in the fire” Tim Keller

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5.

THE SEASON OF THE 'MEANTIME'

Have you ever felt like you're living in the "meantime"? That space between what God has promised and what you can currently see? If so, I pray this message encourages your heart today.

Throughout Scripture, we see that the journey to a God-given destination is rarely a straight line.

God promised Abraham he would be the father of a great nation, but the "meantime" was twenty-five years of waiting for his promised son.

God destined Joseph to rule, but the "meantime" was a season spent in a pit, a prison, and a foreign land, far from his family.

God anointed David as the future king, but his "meantime" involved running for his life from the very king he was meant to replace.

Even the Apostle Paul was promised he would testify in Rome (Acts 23:11), but his "meantime" included a treacherous sea voyage, a shipwreck, and a long imprisonment.

In each story, the destination was sure, but the journey was filled with trials designed to forge character, deepen faith, and reveal God's sovereign power. We often wish for a life without hiccups, but God uses the journey itself to prepare us for the promise. The lessons we learn in the valley are what equip us to stand on the mountaintop.

So, if you feel you are in the "meantime" today, do not lose heart. In spite of what you are going through, the promises of God for your life are secure. Your destination is assured. In the moments of storm and confusion, hold fast to what He has spoken.

He has not forgotten you. He is with you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Be greatly encouraged in Him.

On Sunday, we launched a new sermon series from the book of Revelation, titled: Letters to the 7 churches.
Our sermon focused on John’s vision of the glorified Lord and His letters to the 7 churches in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey). In his commentary on the book of Revelation, John MacArthur wrote concerning these churches, stating, “Seven is the number of completeness; therefore, the seven churches symbolise the churches in general. These were actual churches in real places, but are symbolic of the kinds of churches that exist through all of church history”.
If you missed the intro to the series, where we focused on the Lordship of Christ, the role of the Church, the presence of the Lord in the Church (etc.), then you can catch up with the full sermon via the YouTube link –

Last Sunday, we explored the timeless topic of marriage in a world where it’s often misunderstood. We looked at how, despite modern reluctance, the Bible celebrates marriage as a gift. As Proverbs 18:22 reminds us, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”
