For some reason, I am no longer receiving any information from Ardmore Parish regarding events or ceremonies and I am therefore unable to communicate these on the Parish page as I always have done. I do not work in the Office and the Parish Admin team / Office have changed the password needed for me to stream Masses. I have asked for the new password and/or an explanation numerous times from office, PPC and others but my requests have never been answered. Apologies for not being able to stream the ceremonies as I know many of you appreciate being able to watch online.

The Holy Father, this afternoon, after a morning spent alternating between respiratory physiotherapy and prayer in the chapel, experienced an isolated episode of bronchospasm. This caused an episode of vomiting, which led to him inhaling some and a sudden worsening of his respiratory condition.

The Holy Father was promptly subjected to bronchial aspiration (to clear his airways) and was put on non-invasive mechanical ventilation, which improved his oxygen levels.

He has remained alert and aware at all times, cooperating with therapeutic treatments.

The prognosis, therefore, remains guarded.

In the morning, he received the Eucharist.

This statement, provided by the Holy See Press Office on Friday evening, came as the Pope continues to be treated for bilateral pneumonia in Rome’s Gemelli Hospital. He was admitted on Friday, 14 February, following an infection of the respiratory tract.

About 24 to 48 hours will be needed to be able to assess the Pope's clinical condition following the isolated bronchospasm episode.

Pope Francis had a restful fifteenth night in Rome's Gemelli hospital, where he is being treated for bilateral pneumonia.

"As in recent days, the night passed calmly, and the Pope is now resting," said a Holy See Press Office statement on Friday morning.

According to the Thursday evening press release, the Pope's clinical condition continued to improve, though it remains "complex."

The Press Office added that his prognosis remains guarded, noting that his therapy is continuing.

He spent Thursday afternoon in prayer and attending to various work-related activities.

God of mercy,

Grant Pope Francis the courage today to face his illness and infirmities with faith. May he know that he is held in the prayers of all of us and may Your peace comfort him today.

Amen.
