St Mary’s has a fine set of eight bells, all cast in the Whitechapel bell foundry in 1962. Today, 4 September 2026, a muffled quarter peal was rung in honour of our Reverend Sally Kimmis 🙏🏻

It is with great sadness that we report the peaceful death of the Reverend Sally Kimmis after a very brief but quite serene journey with cancer. Sally was Team Rector in the Heart of Norfolk team of parishes since 2014.

Sally's funeral will be conducted by The Bishop of Lynn, the Right Reverend Jane Steen, at St Mary's Church, North Elmham - date to be confirmed.

Bishop Jane will also be leading a quiet service of prayer for Sally at St Mary’s Church, North Elmham this evening at 5pm. Everyone is welcome.

May Sally rest in peace and rise in glory!
