We are into week 3 of our support for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and partner agencies.
Thanks to all of the members of the Corps (and other Corps around) who have given valuable time to support the crews and agencies on site.

It has been raining lightly over the last couple of nights and it continued this morning when we arrived on site.
The cloud is clearing now, but there are still lots of crew on the frontline..

We are planning to be here every day this week again, though, as always, hoping we can stand down, as that means things are improving...

We are into day 11 of the Divisional Incident Support Vehicle supporting the Fire Service (of Derbyshire and beyond) at the Major Incident at Tintwistle. (We were also there for 6 days when it first started, before being stood down)

Thanks to all of our folks (and at other Corps around) who have served, especially those who have effectively been volunteering for a 12 hour shift including travelling, or who have served beyond the agreed support times..

There are still loads of crews on site all day and so we may be asked to continue to support into next week, so do let us know if you are able to offer some time..

Our support for the Emergency Services at the moorland fire near Tintwistle is now into Day 4. Thanks to Jo, Paul, Jess, David & Lynn, and Dawn from Derby South who have been running the vehicle..

A group of volunteers from the corps are currently supporting the emergency services and associated agencies at the Tintwistle Moorland fires near Glossop.

Teams have been there since Thursday and continue to support the services today. The crews are very grateful for the food, hot and cold drinks. 

We continue to pray for all those involved and those who have been disrupted by the fire 🔥🙏🏼🚒
