On Thursday evening we welcomed 2nd Glossop Brownies and their leaders into the church.

The girls went up the bell tower and learned about some history of the church by looking at the stained glass windows.
The craft activity was based on rubbish that we all acquire and how sometimes it becomes litter, maybe ends up on our streets or in the rivers. Birds and fish then may think that this is food. They made origami fish and birds, decorated them and attached to our board for all to see.
Bird boxes and bee baths were also assembled and hidden in the churchyard.

Meet Mark.

I live near Buxton with my wife Anne-marie and daughter Hope. For the last couple of years I have been studying at St Hild College and on contextual placement at the Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, Edale.

Prior to training for ministry, I served as Churchwarden of St Peter's Church, Fairfield.

My journey with Christ began in 2018 following the tragic death of our son, Peter. In the days following, I heard Jesus speaking to me, and felt the true power of God's unconditional love.

I am looking forward to being ordained Deacon by Bishop Jackie, and working alongside Revd Fiona as Assistant Curate in the Tideswell Benefice, serving the communities that I have lived in and around for the past 30 years.
