St Nicholas' Church St Nick's is a friendly, family oriented church in the heart of lovely Allestree in Derbyshire. We meet every Sunday, and would love to see you!

In January 2024 two wonderful clergy into our parish;

Priest in charge Rev’d Sarah Watson and Associate Priest Rev’d Rachael Brooks. We're a very friendly bunch.

1st Sunday: 10am Informal Worship
As the name suggests, this is a more informal gathering. We try to use less liturgy (written word) and include more songs. It is often led by our lay reader, Phil, or our Children's an

d Families worker, Anna.

2nd Sunday: 10am Together @ the Table
This service is our more informal communion, where we bring the table down to the congregation and take communion as family together. Although children are welcome at all of our services, this service also has a creche / kid's church at the back of the main church area.

3rd Sunday: 10am Morning Praise
Our more 'standard' church service, which includes set liturgy.

4th Sunday: 10am Bible Study & Coffee in the Church Hall
There are a number of people who lead the Bible Study here, and it feels similar to a 'home group'. There are refreshments, and the study takes place around tables to enable discussion.

3pm Traditional Holy Communion
This afternoon service is more formal in it's structure. It began as some of our congregation were struggling to be up and mobile in the early morning, and it was also created to serve some of those who may be living with dementia. All are welcome to all of our services - we hope you feel a warm welcome when you come along!

This Sunday we host the congregations of St Paul's, Quarndon, St Edmund's, Allestree and St Matthew's, Darley Abbey. All welcome and children's activity packs are all ready to go!
