And this is for the person who in church today when I was speaking about the rise of the extreme right and black shirts this morning made a comment about ‘stopping the boats’ … presumably thinking I didn’t hear it - if you even bothered to listen to the sermon then you heard me say, as I inadequately tried to engage with the words of Jesus himself : sometimes it’s necessary for me to say ‘no that isn’t acceptable to say that in this holy place. ’ You have indeed given me much food for thought and as your priest I suggest you reflect on your words in the context of our worship where we make a promise as Inclusive Church that all are safe and all are welcome.
