REPENTANCE BEFORE DELIVERANCE

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
PSALM 51:10

If you have been a Christian for any length of time, you have already had many strongholds broken in your life. These were broken when you repented and came to Jesus. Deliverance is often just that simple when a soul is willing. Yet, without some measure of repentance, deliverance is
almost always impossible, for although a spirit may be commanded to leave, if the structure of the individual’s thoughts has not been changed, his wrong attitude toward sin will welcome that spirit back.

One aspect of Christ’s ministry is that “thoughts of many hearts may be
revealed” (Luke 2:35). If you are truly walking with Jesus, many areas of your thinking processes will be exposed. Yet there will be a power from God to enable you to repent and receive His virtue into your life.

You will see strongholds fall and victory come.

Let us pray!

Heavenly Father, there are areas in my life that I have not fully surrendered to my Lord Jesus Christ. Forgive me for compromise.
Give me courage to approach the pulling down of strongholds without reluctance or willful deception. In Jesus’s name, amen.

CREATING A SPIRITUAL ATMOSPHERE IN YOUR HOME

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord… Pray in the Spirit always with all kinds of prayer and supplication.
Ephesians 6:4-18

The home should be a place of peace, love, prayer, and God’s presence. As parents, we must be careful that anger, bitterness, gossip, and constant criticism do not create an unhealthy atmosphere in our homes.

God has given parents the responsibility and the love to pray for their children. Instead of spending more time complaining about your children, spend more time praying for them. When challenges arise, take them to God in prayer.

Sometimes, parenting can be difficult, but we must learn to respond with prayer rather than anger. Prayer can change the atmosphere of a home and bring peace where there has been tension.

Remember: Your home should be a place where God is honoured, children are encouraged, and love is expressed.

Let us pray!!!

Dear Father,

Thank You for my family. Help me to create an atmosphere of peace, love, prayer, and Your presence in my home. Give me wisdom to respond to my children with patience and grace. Help me to pray more and complain less. Let Your peace rule in our home, and let our family grow in Your love and Word. Amen.

WALKING IN VICTORY

The ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over Me.
JOHN 14:30

You see, Satan feeds on sin. Wherever there is a habit of sin in a believer’s life, expect demonic activity in that area. The sin habit often becomes a dwelling place for a spirit that robs a believer of power and joy, and that habitation (or habit) is a stronghold.

There were no strongholds, no wrong attitudes, no faulty thinking processes in Christ’s mind. Just before Jesus went to His death, He remarked that Satan had nothing in Him. We also want to be able to say that Satan has no secret area inside us, no temptation he can stage that will open the door of our soul toward evil. When the strongholds of our minds are toppled, though we may still occasionally fall into sin, we will walk in great victory.

Let us pray!!!

Precious Jesus, close every door of temptation, uproot every wrong attitude, correct every faulty thought process, and tear down every stronghold of evil. Come quickly, please, Lord! I want to walk out of darkness into Your marvellous light. Deliver me from evil today. Amen.
