💎 Denton Diamonds at Denton Methodist PLACES AVAILABLE FOR JANUARY 2026

Denton Diamonds is a community girls group (ages 4-16) run by parents. We meet on Mondays 6.30pm-8pm at Denton Methodist Church. Every term girls put their ideas into the "Ideas Bucket" and that creates our termly plan. Older girls help organise games and activities which gives them opportunity to develop leadership skills. Here's somethings we've been up to:

On Saturday Denton Diamonds at Denton Methodist Leaders completed Safeguarding Training. Over the next few weeks we will be reviewing the policies and ensuring our procedures are in place. Ensuring girls have a safe space to meet is very important to our group.

If you have an questions the Methodist Church safe guarding policy can be found on the Safeguarding noticeboard in the entrance hall or alternatively just ask :)

Denton Diamonds are looking for new adult leaders and parent helpers so we can offer the Denton Diamonds to more girls in Denton 👩‍👧‍👧👩‍👧‍👧👩‍👧‍👧👩‍👧‍👧

We had the best night at Diamonds celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We played Jubilee Bingo, Put the Diamond on the Crown, made jubilee bracelets and bunting and had an afternoon tea style "street party". All girls got to take how a jubilee champagne flute 🥂 🍾

Today we remember 5 years since the tragic terror attack at the Manchester Arena. It is also 5 years to the day that we first opened our doors to girls across Denton and Tameside. Denton Diamonds is a girl safe space where girls can meet, be silly, have fun, catch up with friends and be amazing members of the communities of which we are a part.

It's been an amazing and unbelievable 5 years. We look forward to making many more memories with our girls and laughing all the way through it.

Don't ever let anyone dull your sparkle! Shine bright like a Diamond!

Thursday 28th April was International Workers Memorial Day - where people who lost their lives at work were remembered. Girls at Denton Diamonds came together with other women across the North West to make yellow hearts in memory of those who lost their lives to COVID.

Girls do you remember the COVID hearts we made? Can you spot yours hanging from the tree?

“At Manchester we filled a tree with yellow hearts to remember all those workers who have died from Covid-19 - thanks to women who organised and made them and the Hazards Players who performed the agitprop”

Last Monday our Diamonds 💎 and their families collected toiletries for the people of the Ukraine 🇺🇦. We were absolutley amazed by all the donations we received.

Last Monday at Diamonds we made yellow hearts 💛 for COVID bereaved families in the North West.

Our Young Leaders were featured in a press release and the hearts we made were displayed at a vigil on Friday evening in Manchester City centre which marked 2 years since the World Health Organisation declared a pandemic.
