Today, I had the privilege of leading a heartfelt service at Mortonhall Crematorium for a much-loved gentleman. He was Musselburgh Golf Club's oldest serving member, a true character, and dearly missed by all who knew him. His family shared beautiful stories of his life, and it was an honor to help them say goodbye in a way that truly reflected who he was.

As an independent funeral celebrant, I work closely with families to create meaningful and personal ceremonies that celebrate a life well-lived.

🌿 Another Heartfelt Service in the Works 🌿

Next week, I’ll be leading a beautiful service at Mortonhall Crematorium for an incredible man who lived a full and cherished life. An army veteran, a talented mechanic, and an avid golfer, he was most proud of being an amazing grandfather. His family’s love for him is truly inspiring, and it’s an honor to help them celebrate his life with a service that reflects his unique journey.

Every service I craft is truly individual and so different for each person. For the service next week we have chosen the Moment of Reflection music as Tupac, Ghetto Gospel. It’s a little different from the usual, but the power of the message behind these lyrics are nothing short of beautiful and it’s exactly what this young man wanted.

Getting ready for another funeral next Monday in Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Each service takes me about 3-4 days to write, making it personable, profound yet moving and most importantly honouring the deceased and bringing them back into the room with us.
