Today we gather at our Sunday morning worship service to love and support each other during a time of grief and bereavement, as we come to terms with the loss of our beloved friend and sister, Sue Mitchell. As one person described her, she was 'magnificently loyal' and was a deeply loved friend and had been a member of our church since she was a teenager. In The Salvation Army we use the term, 'promoted to glory' and we do indeed also meet in the faith and assurance that Sue is now with her friend and Saviour, Jesus, whom she deeply loved. As we come to terms with these sad times, we too rest in the loving arms of Jesus, who promised that those who mourn will also be comforted. The love and prayers of our whole church are with Sue's lovely family 🙏🙏🙏
