๐ŸŒผ The Wild Pollinator Trail may now be over, but across Dawlish things are still growingโ€ฆ wildflowers reaching upwards, bees busy in the sunshine, seeds quietly becoming something beautiful. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฆ‹

Maybe thatโ€™s true for us too.

Spiritually, growth often happens slowly and unseen at first. A kind word. A fresh start. A softened heart. A small act of hope that quietly changes a community.

Just as pollinators help life spread and flourish, every act of love, encouragement and care can help Dawlish bloom a little brighter. ๐ŸŒธ

So hereโ€™s a question to ponder today:

*What small seed might you be planting in someoneโ€™s life right now?* ๐Ÿ’›

Inspired by the Wild Pollinator Trail from Turn the Tideโ€” celebrating how small actions can make a big difference for people and planet alike.

Some parents tonight are trying to calm children while explosions echo outside.
Some people are scrolling headlines wondering if the world is becoming permanently unstable.

Todayโ€™s prayer is for places carrying unbearable tension โ€” for families trapped between violence, fear and uncertainty.

God of Heaven,
May hatred lose momentum.
May civilians be protected.
May leaders value human lives more than pride.
And may peace stop sounding naรฏve.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

*A Prayer for Fathers and a Fatherโ€™s Heart*

On what would have been my dadโ€™s 89th birthday today, I find myself beginning to reflect as we move toward Fatherโ€™s Day on June 21st.

Not rushing past it, but pausing with honesty.

Because Fatherโ€™s Day is not simple for many.

For some it brings gratitude and warm memories.
For others, absence, complexity, or pain.
For many, a mixture of both.

So we hold it gently.
With honesty.
With space for healing.

We give thanks where we can.
We forgive where we need to.
We seek to put right what can be restored.

But there is something deeper weโ€™re also invited into:

Not only reflecting on fathersโ€”but discovering who God is.

The One who is love itself.
Steady, kind, and present.
Not distant or demanding, but close enough to be known.

For Dawlish, may homes be filled with peace, patience, and understanding.
May families find strength and hope.

As we move toward Fatherโ€™s Day, may this be a season of reflection, discovery, gratitude, and healing.

Amen.

From colourful parachute games on the Lawn to music, laughter, crafts, prayer, and plenty of sunshine, it was wonderful to see people of all ages coming together in such a happy spirit. ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽถโ›ช

Pentecost reminds us of the gift of the Holy Spirit โ€” bringing hope, joy, courage, and community โ€” and we certainly felt that spirit among us on Sunday!

Dawlish is full of good people doing good things. ๐Ÿ’™
Every day we see neighbours helping neighbours, volunteers giving their time, local groups working together, and quiet acts of kindness that make our community stronger.

One challenge many communities face is communication โ€” connecting the dots so nobody feels overlooked or unheard. So today we pray for wisdom, understanding and stronger connections across Dawlish.

๐Ÿ™ Lord, help us listen well, speak kindly and work together for the good of everyone in our town. Bless those serving our community each day, and help Dawlish continue to be a place of care, hope and belonging. โค๏ธ
