Burning Hearts

They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?” (Luke 24:32)

Thank you so much to one of my followers, Brook, for suggesting this passage for a new illustration. This is after the resurrection when Jesus is talking to two disciples on the road to Emmaus. They did not know it was Jesus at the time, but as He talked with them about Scriptures and the prophecies about the Messiah, they soon realized that they were in fact talking to the Promised One.
