The Sunday meeting before the May Bank Holiday (3rd May, 11am) will be a Songs of Praise meeting - so please send us a message with a favourite song, chorus or worship song by Friday 1st May and we'll incorporate them into the meeting plan. Why not choose a song that you haven't heard for a number of years? We'd love to hear them again! Thanks.

Easter Sunday - Jesus is Alive!

Mark 16:4-7

'4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

6 ‘Don’t be alarmed,’ he said. ‘You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, “He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”’

Three simple words.

He. Has. Risen.

Praise God!

Do you want to know more about our living Lord Jesus?

Do you want to experience the new life he has to offer?

Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.

He's alive and waiting to be invited into your life. Today is the day!

Good Friday - Jesus is crucified

Mark 15:37-39

'37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.

38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, ‘Surely this man was the Son of God!’'

Why do we call this 'Good' Friday?

The tearing of the curtain in the temple signified that, through his ministry and sacrifice, Jesus made God available to ALL who believe in Him. No one needs to be excluded from the love of God. Because of what Jesus has done for us, we can all come to God and receive forgiveness and new life in Him. Because of Jesus, we can all have a relationship with the God who loved us enough to die for us.

Do you want to know God better?

Do you want a new life with Jesus?

Maundy Thursday - The Last Supper

Mark 14:22-24

“While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take it; this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it. ‘This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,’ he said to them.”

We had a beautiful time this evening commemorating the Last Supper as a church fellowship. Jesus and his disciples were observing a sacred meal which they would have observed every year, and yet this last Passover was different. Jesus used the wine and the unleavened bread, which were already so infused with spiritual significance within the existing Passover tradition, to tell a new story…to announce a new freedom and redemption that was about to come through his death and resurrection. He was becoming the ultimate Passover lamb, sacrificed so that we can have eternal life, and life in all its fullness.

What would you like Jesus to set you free from?

Are you experiencing life in all its fullness?

Do you want to?

Last year we launched our first Cozy Christmas Eve, and it was so uplifting and joyful. An afternoon of pure community spirit, Christmas fun for all the family and, of course, celebration of Jesus Christ being born into our world.

It would be lovely to have you with us this year for another great Cozy Christmas Eve.

You can come for some of the day, or stay for all of it. Everyone is welcome!
