Fr Damon was present yesterday at the consecration and ordination of Rick Simpson as the next Bishop of Durham. It was a wonderful service full of joy and hope. Please continue to pray for the Rt Revd Rick Simpson as he begins his episcopal ministry in the Diocese of Durham.

Edit: I should also have added that Philip Stokes, Gavin Atkins and Gavin’s Guide Dogs UK dog, Euston were also there from the parish. Euston was the star as always!

Yesterday our Mothers' Union branch celebrated its centenary. There was a wonderful Thanksgiving service led by our Branch Leader, Anne Hinge (seen cutting the cake) and our Associate Priest the Revd Moji Jaiyesimi was admitted as a member. And there was, of course, tea and cake! Thank you to everyone who came and supported this special event.
