Inspiration is a great start, but it’s rarely enough. The real test of a gathering isn’t just what happened on stage—it’s what stays with us long after the event.

We recently got together at the Vineyard Leaders Gathering to listen, reflect, and dream about the future. But the true impact went far beyond the event schedule. It flowed afterwards in conversations—in the corridors, over coffee, and in the quiet moments between sessions.

It’s where the rubber meets the road. It’s no good if these insights don’t ripple out into our being, our doing, and our going.

Whether you were there, are part of the wider Vineyard family, or are simply looking for fresh encouragement in your own walk of faith, you are invited to catch up on the talks here:

https://darlo.church/2026

Let’s keep the conversation going—not just on social media, but in person, workplaces, and communities where we live and serve.

If you’re reading this and looking for a place to call home, we’d love for you to see what this community looks like in practice. We’re in the heart of Darlington on Salt Yard. We’d love to see you soon.

Blessed Pentecost Sunday! 🔥

We love looking back at church history on days like today. In 1962, Pope John XXIII opened Vatican II with a bold cry: “Come Holy Spirit, give us a second Pentecost!”

That prayer taps into an ancient 4th-century practice called Epiklesis, which literally means to “call down upon.” The early Church Fathers constantly used it to invite the Spirit to fall fresh on the people, just like the very first Pentecost.

If you’ve ever wondered whether it's biblical to pray directly to the Spirit, look at Ezekiel 37. Yahweh explicitly tells the prophet to speak to the Ruach (the Breath/Spirit of God): “Come, Ruach... and breathe into these slain, that they may live.”

Historians trace the global Charismatic Renewal of the 1960s and 70s right back to that prayer by Pope John. It swept through Catholic, Anglican, and mainline churches alike—moving the supernatural gifts of the Spirit from the pulpit, into the pews, and straight out onto the streets!

The theologian Alexander Venter once shared how he wrote his own “Epiklesis - Spirit Invocation” to capture these biblical symbols in an easy, memorable way.

He uses it as a "Breath Prayer"—praying it slowly throughout the day, matching the words to his physical breathing. It follows a beautiful, ancient three-step progression:

The Prayer of the Lips: Speaking the words out loud.

The Prayer of the Mind: Moving it into your thoughts and anchoring it to your breath.

The Prayer of the Spirit: Where it settles so deeply that you find yourself praying unceasingly, even below your conscious thoughts.

What a powerful way to live. Why not use today to practice inviting the Spirit into your own daily rhythms? Sync a simple invocation with your breath, and see what God does in you, to you, and through you!

Blessed Pentecost Sunday! Come, Holy Spirit! 🙌

Before the cross, there was a meal. Before the crown of thorns, there was a towel and a basin.

Tonight we reflect and come to remember Maundy Thursday.

The word "Maundy" comes from mandatum, meaning "commandment." But Jesus didn’t just give us a rule to follow; He gave us a rhythm to live by.

He broke the bread to show us His body. He poured the wine to show us His grace. And then, the King of Kings knelt at the feet of His friends to show us what true leadership looks like: unconditional service.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." — John 13:34

Tonight, we gather to reflect on the depth of that love—a love that serves, a love that suffers, and a love that saves.

*Join Us Tonight*
Service Time: 7:00 PM (Doors open for coffee at 6:45pm).
Location: Darlington Vineyard - Salt Yard
What to expect: A reflective service of Worship, Prayer, Scripture and Communion

This will be a place of deep reflection, so come expectant as we gather in God’s presence.

Creative space isn’t just about the output; it’s about the process.

We often think of "creativity" as a task to be checked off or a product to be sold. But what if our creative spaces were actually sanctuaries? Places where the pressure to "produce" falls away, leaving room for us to simply exist in the presence of the One who designed us.

When we create, we aren't just making something tangible—we are reflecting the Image of the ultimate Artist. We are finding healing in the process, joy in the community, and room to grow into who we were always meant to be.

Listen and watch this 5 minutes of fire.

WE ARE DREAMING THE IMPOSSIBLE.
This week’s 5 Minutes of Fire wasn’t just about a moment in our service it was about a movement.

Elsie spoke about us being a family and an army.

In the Vineyard, we don’t just "do" church; we build a home where everyone belongs (family) and we train a generation to take ground for the Kingdom (army). And nowhere is that more alive than at Dreaming the Impossible.

Seeing thousands of young people gather to worship, pray, and encounter Jesus reminds us why the Church is so vital. We aren't just passing on traditions; we are commissioning an army of dreamers who believe that "impossible" is just a starting point for God.

Whether you’re in Darlington or in a field with 1,000s of others this summer, the mission is the same: we're inviting people into a radical life of faith in Jesus to impact the World through Darlington!
