Howden-le-Wear Methodist Church is proud to take part in the national Heritage Weekend.
We are open from 10 am to 4pm on Saturday, 14th September, featuring displays on Village Memories ( images and voice recordings), the Railway, 150 Years of our Chapel History, Village Sports and Exhibits from Beamish.

Entry is free. Refreshments available. Our Thrift Shop will be open too.

EAT WiSE TO DROP A SiZE.

Following on from the success of the last EAT WISE course, a new eight week programme will be launched at Howden-le-Wear Methodist Church on Tuesday, 10th September at 5-30pm.

The combined weight loss of the group who took part in the last course was VERY impressive. We are confident that everyone who signs up to the new programme will celebrate similar success. If you want to take part, simply turn up at 5-30pm, or ring 0774601703 for more details.

The eight week course is FREE!

Previous members are also welcome to come along for weigh ins, a cuppa and the motivation of group support.

Our Thrift Extravaganza event raised a Grand total of £530:80. Thanks to everyone who came along to support our outreach work.
We have a NEW venture starting on 2nd November-Monthly Dementia Friendly Cafe. More info to follow
