Dedicated for Distinction
By Rev. Comfort Adejoh Scripture
Bible Text: Colossians 3:23
π Distinction requires dedication. To be distinguished, you must be dedicated to a particular course. You must have a clear vision and purpose that you are committed to pursuing.
π Understanding the times and responding appropriately brings distinction. According to 1 Chronicles 12:32β38, the sons of Issachar understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do. Though few in number, they were skilled, committed, and dedicated themselves to helping David ascend the throne. This distinguished them.
π Distinction requires discernment. Discernment is the Spirit-enabled ability to recognize what is happening beneath the surface and respond according to Godβs truth.
π Your discernment must be sharpened. To walk in distinction, you must continually develop your spiritual sensitivity and ability to recognize Godβs will.
π Emotionalism can hinder discernment. People who are constantly driven by their emotions may struggle to discern accurately. Distinction requires the ability to subject your emotions to Godβs truth and respond with wisdom.
