We are a Church of Scotland, serving the areas of Ardersier, Balloch, Culloden, Inverness East, Petty, Smithton and Tornagrain. We are a diverse group of people seeking to follow Jesus. What brings us together is a desire to grow in our relationship with God, and we see this as a journey of exploration which each of us has to experience for ourselves with the help of others around us. We don’t nec

essarily hold the same views about how to do this, have all of the answers, or see ourselves as being “sorted”. We know that we’re not “perfect” and we need help from God and each other. We believe that we can experience God’s presence today and we would love you to join us on this journey.

Looking for something to do towards the end of the holidays? Join us for 3 days of family fun aimed at children of all ages up to P7, followed by our Back to School with God service on Sunday 16th August. Each day we’ll be in a different location for crafts, games, a Bible story, songs and (importantly) food together. Just £1/day/child (and food’s free for accompanying grown ups!) It’s easy to register - just scan the QR code and fill in the short form.

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

Join us in Barn Church tomorrow morning (Saturday) from 8-9am for a time of waiting before the Lord together. There will be Scripture, listening and the opportunity to pray together, whether aloud or in silence. These are such precious community times and all are welcome.

The man in front of us has cancer. The woman next to him is a worried mess. Two rows behind us is a couple that has been trying to get pregnant for 3 years. A few seats to our left is a couple who just welcomed their second child home. To our right is a group of college students who pray for the world to change and wonder if they need to change their major. In the back is a man who recently retired after working for the same company for 35 years. Next to him is a family who wonders how they’ll pay for groceries this week. In front of them is a family who just made plans to go to Disney World for Spring Break. On the right side sits someone who voted Democrat. On the left side sits someone who voted Republican. In the third row is a high schooler wrestling depression. Her father, too. Behind them is an elderly man mourning the death of his wife. Next to him is an empty seat. In the middle of the church is a kid wondering why they are here and not at home playing video games. Near the back is a woman who wonders if any of this God stuff is true. Two seats down is someone who has witnessed miracles firsthand. A few rows in front of them is a couple contemplating divorce. Next to them is a forty-something praying for a relationship. Near the front is someone trying to stay sober and another trying to stay alive and another doing their best not to look at their phone. At the pulpit stands a pastor who prays for peace and mercy. And I, like so many, am tired, wondering how I’ll make it through another week. But together we hear of God’s faithfulness. Together we sing of love and hope. Together we receive the body and blood of Christ. Together we remember Jesus is not dead, but alive. Together we pray, “God, give us today our daily bread.” Together we receive mercy. Together we are the church.

Join us for a very special Songs of Praise service tomorrow (Sunday 7th June) in Ardersier Church. We’ll have plenty of music, some powerful testimony and a led reflection. We’ll be reading from Acts 26 as Paul shares his own testimony before King Agrippa. Festus can’t quite believe it!
