This Sunday – Boys’ Brigade Enrolment Service (in Loanends at 11am)

This week there’s no service in Killead as we join together in Loanends for the Boys’ Brigade Enrolment Service at 11am.

It would be wonderful to see a full church as we come alongside our BB company to encourage them and their leaders at the start of a new year.

The service is for everyone, and there’ll be tea and coffee afterwards – a great chance to chat and catch up together.

Let’s make every effort to be there and show our support. 💙

Over the last few weeks the boys and leaders of 1st Killead Boys Brigade have been supporting the BBNI chosen charity of supporting our local foodbank. We were delighted to be joined tonight by Alan Wilson from antrim foodbank to accept the donations that we have collected. Thank you to all the boys and their families for all their most generous donations to this worthy cause.

Tomorrow P7 pupils across Northern Ireland will be taking the first of their SEAG tests.

We are praying for all of our Juniors in BBNI who are taking part, that they will be calm and confident knowing that all they have to do is the best they can.
That they know God is with them and that he has the best plan for them.

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" Isaiah 41:10.

Tonight we welcomed Martin Tuson of Rock BMX Ministries. He shared the boys his testimony and demonstrated stunts on his bike. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

BB will begin on Wednesday 4th September 2024 with a Registration and Fun Night! Please read the details for each section carefully below:

Anchors (P1 – P4) and Juniors (P5 – P7) – Registration and Uniform ordering, tea and biscuits for parents in the Minor Hall – 6.30 – 7.30pm.

Company (Yr8 – Yr10) and Seniors (Yr11 – Yr14) – Registration and Uniform ordering, tea and biscuits for parents in the Minor Hall and Fun and Games, juice and biscuits for the boys in the Main Hall – 7.30 – 8.30pm.

We look forward to welcoming all the boys back and any new boys to 1st Killead BB this year.

1st Killead Boys’ Brigade fundraising event on Saturday 23rd September 2023 at 7.00pm in Killead Church Hall.

We hope that as many boys and their families and friends, as possible, will come along and enjoy hot dogs and watching the Ireland vs South Africa Rugby World Cup Pool Stage match on the big screen.

Tickets are £6.00 for adults (age 12 years +) and £3.00 for children and all funds raised will be going to Parkinson’s UK in memory of our founder, Mr. Brian Swann.

To help with catering, we would be very grateful if tickets could be purchased in advance.
