It doesn’t cost you anything extra — the retailer makes the donation — and you can now collect donations in store at selected shops like Tesco & Waitrose as well as online.

🚲🥾 RIDE + STRIDE 2026 — Saturday 12th September ⛪

St John’s is taking part in Ride + Stride, the annual fundraiser supporting historic churches across Sussex — and we’d love as many people as possible to get involved!

There are plenty of ways to take part. You can ride between local churches, join the striders walking around the churches of Crowborough, or stay at St John’s and help welcome riders and walkers visiting us throughout the day.

🥾 The Crowborough walk will set off from St John’s at 10am.

You can also support the day by sponsoring those taking part.

The Sussex Historic Churches Trust provides grants to help preserve and maintain churches across East and West Sussex and has been incredibly generous in its support of St John’s. Money raised through Ride + Stride is shared between the Trust and the participant’s nominated church.

🎶 Thank you for supporting our Chamber Concert! 🎶

Members of the Ealing Symphony Orchestra treated us to a beautifully performed and varied programme of music.

We’re delighted that the concert raised £434.15 for the Church Maintenance Fund!

We’re very grateful to the musicians who performed, those who helped organise the concert and everyone who came along to support it.
It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon and a brilliant amount raised for St John’s. 🎻🎶

As a new school year begins, we’re sending lots of love and good wishes to all the children starting at St John’s Primary for the very first time. We hope your days are full of happy moments, new friendships and exciting adventures. 💛

Plenty of crafts, games and stories for the children to enjoy!

There’s no need to book for any of our family events — simply come along and join us. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing these special family-friendly events with you. 💛

We’ll be welcoming players from the Ealing Symphony Orchestra, performing Poulenc’s Concerto for Strings & Organ, alongside a selection of popular and classical favourites.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the Vicarage Garden Party on Sunday! 🌿🥂

It was great to see so many from St John’s and Christ Church enjoying the afternoon together — with plenty of Pimms, food and good company.

Thank you as well to everyone who helped organise, set up and clear away, and to all who brought food along to share.

🌿 Church Garden Party – Everyone’s Welcome! 🌿

Everyone from our St John’s and Christ Church families is warmly invited to join us for our Garden Party on Sunday 16th August, from 12:30pm–3:00pm, in the Vicarage Garden.

🍹 Pimm’s and soft drinks will be provided. If you’d like something a little stronger, please feel free to bring your own.

🥗 If you’re able, we’d love you to bring a dish to share, and don’t forget to bring your own chair.

📝 Please add your name to the sign-up sheet at the back of church, letting us know what you’d like to bring. The last day to sign up is Sunday 9th August.

Whether you’ve been part of our churches for years or have only recently joined us, we’d love you to come along. It’ll be a lovely afternoon of good food, laughter and catching up with friends old and new. We hope to see you there! 🌸☀️
