Parking
It is not an offence to park on the pavement, but, if it forces pedestrians, mothers with pushchairs or invalid vehicles to go onto the road it is a dangerous obstruction and needs to be reported to the police asap. The means for doing so are clearly stated. Call 999 in an emergency. For non-emergencies call 101 or report a crime online on the Avon and Somerset Police website [email protected]

May 7th

At our Misterton Coronation Celebrations on the Recreation Field, we plan a car display similar to that of previous fetes. πŸš—However on this occasion all vehicles will uniquely be owned by Misterton residents. We will try to park them so that the public can see changes/progress for example in each of 3 BMW Coupes. We shall need cars in place and to remain until 1530 hours earliest. The event starts at 1100 hours and cars should be in place before that time.
There will always be someone present to keep an eye on them. We may invite a few to be driven around the show ring probably those most likely to be noisy. We will produce a proforma so that each car showing
a. Vehicle Owner
b. Name and Model
c. Engine size/power
d. Top Speed/Acceleration time to 100kph
We shall ask members of the public to choose the car they like most and the winning car will be given a Megulars Cleaning Pack.

ART. πŸŒ„πŸŒ†πŸ–ΌοΈ
Hopefully you are now fully aware that as a mark of celebration and to show village talent the Misterton Coronation event on May 7th will include a display of village art and we would like to include an example of yours., We have tried to speak to everyone but now is the time to finalise details.
All art will be exhibited safely in the back room of the Village Hall (where the parish Council hold their monthly meetings). It will be safeguarded throughout on May 7th and otherwise under lock and key until either collected or delivered back to the owner.
We have grouped exhibits as follows:
a. Photographs/Drawings
b. Pictures all mediums
c. Floral Displays
d. Crafts/Modelling/Needlework/Books

For fun small cash prizes will be awarded according to age (over 21, under 21, under 12). Exhibitors are invited to display up to 2 items for each group. We have an independent judge.
So that we can best plan the display, please let either Paul Bradly know more details of your exhibit by title and size. Pictures are preferred mounted or framed except for under 12s where unmounted are acceptable.
All exhibits should either be deposited with Paul Bradly at Knowle House, Misterton during the weekend 29th/30th April or we can arrange collection during that weekend.
Please send details at your earliest convenience to either Sue Kennedy or Paul Bradly
